Introduction to Chiropractic
Chiropractic works to reestablish mobility and proper alignment of your joints. Long term muscle tension and sudden impacts such as car accidents or falls, can impact your joints in a negative way. The joints may be pulled out of normal alignment, which can disrupt nerve transmissions, especially in the spine where nerves affect the entire body. Joint problems also affect the surrounding muscles, ligaments, and tendons. Over time, joint dysfunction as well as tight, inflamed soft tissues can result in pain, decreased mobility, or other symptoms such as numbness or tingling, both at the problem site, and elsewhere in the body.
Being that chiropractic helps to relieve pain and improve joint mobility, you may also find it easier to stretch and exercise. This can help you maintain and even improve your flexibility, balance, and strength needed to prevent misalignment, tension, and injury in the future. The goal of chiropractic care is restore balance within your body, therefore allowing you to return to pain-free movement and optimal health.
